It’s been a full day. Weird and good. How do you uphold birthday traditions for your children after divorce when they typically included both parents? It depends on the parents.
I’m comforted by the resilience of my son’s soul. And his capacity to dig deeply, even at the tender age of 11, into the heart of life’s sweetest offerings, roll up his pant legs and find his citizenship in the earth.
