‘gators and crocs and snakes
and flowers and aches and sun’s warmth
and
life. This photo caught my eye on Tumblr and had to be added to the stream of randomruthness since it speaks of the sometimes irony of living.
I spent most of Christmas day on my couch, watching my kids enjoy the day, feeling much like I’d perched myself on a swamp creature about to take me for a tumble. The cough/cold/flu-thing I’ve had has lasted longer than expected. Almost 2 weeks now. Christmas and so much else has been out of my hands. I could only enjoy the sense of being on a ride with precious little control over outcomes. The good news…seems that swamp creatures don’t much like to feed on butterflies…
this, too, shall pass.

Hahaha, that photo is so cute!
Hope you felt better in time for the new year’s day!
Thank you. :0)
Hope you’ve finally kicked the darn flu thing, JRuth. I caught it and it hung on forever and drove me to visit medpoint. I NEVER DO THAT! Anyway, hope the croc didn’t get you either! 🙂
Sheesh. It’s been a monster, reminding me of pneumonia nightmares over 20 years ago. No doc visit thus far. Finally getting better here. No crocs either! :0)
Feel better. Pain, pain, fly away …
Thank you…
