Dress Me In Yellow And . . .
. . . call me sometime,
‘cause without you I’m lost
to rhyme
pounding pulses along
these lines,
wondering how such epic
sound comes from only one.
Dress me in the yellow of

melting awe
melding all
we feel
into this something more real,
more touch-word spoken.
Not that yellow so oft broken
down and sighing
resignation.
Come on, courage me that song,
the flowing dance along
golden sun shining
ruthless shameless
caressing grace, giving face
to what we are.

Yes, this is one that makes me want to go outside and feel the warmth. Maybe after the cold snap is over…

This is beautiful. Love the references to self with the use of yellow. “melting awe melding all we feel” is my favorite grouping. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for adding your witness to the words… yellow has many layers of meaning for me and it’s a pleasure to tweak the folds of that yellow dress. 🙂
Very nice!
