Torrential Potential

Raining while the sun shines,
dropping wet time pounding dry stillness down,

Torrential Potential

bubbling liquid on surfaces hardly feeling,
cracks bequeathed with fluid reeling,
leaping as it lands,
hands clapping in waves a symphony of relentless
cheering rain…
rain…
rain…
the fusion of earth and sky…
hear the heavens cry.

  1. Beautiful, Beauty! Thank You. I even made Sir Elvis Costello be quiet while I read this through twice and then outloud. He didn’t mind. It’s that lovely! Big Hugs and Cheers and Namaste. 🙂

    1. is that anything like “giddyup” . . . ? 😉 rain ain’t just good for ducks and other living things, sir. it is a spiritual ministration of the best concoction of nature’s jive. and don’t you forget it. 🙂

        1. You should read my post “Daunting Dante” to see my use of scripture. “If I make my bed in hell…If I take the wings of the dawn…Thou didst form my inward parts…”

Don’t mistake me for someone who doesn’t love some passages of scripture as much or even more than the book of changes. This is the same gal who would get up at 5:30 some mornings before school (before my teens and after), to read scripture. Truth is everywhere… :0)

          1. oh and yeah, “water and spirit?” you could say so. the spirit of the essence released when heaven and earth commence to “get it on.” holy communion! 🙂

            1. I had my own experience with Signore Alighieri. At the summit of Mount Purgatory he meets his beloved Beatrice who is accompanied by a gryphon. It was not from there that I got my internet name–that was merely happy circumstance.

I must now take my leave now from wordpress, Jezzy–a good chance permanently. I don’t know how long I will continue to be able to regularly check my email, but for the time being I am assuming at least twice a week.
