We’ll be heading for annual Pig Pickin’ tomorrow in Hillsborough. The image below is from last year’s pickin’s of more than one variety. We have guitarists supreme and pork not too lean. I don’t much go for pork so I enjoy the chicken my Aunt Minnie cooks in her huge grill. I don’t think that’s even the right word for it, grill.
Suffice to say, this hoedown hails images of hillbillies and rednecks (not to disparage such a colorful slice of humanity) but it mainly consists of a bunch of artists, musicians and green fanatics mixed with car mechanics, computer nerds, writers, students, lawyers and non-profit visionaries. Then there are the weird Kelly clansmen and women. And children. It’s fun in the woods along the Eno. A feast…

sounds like a great time
trees music artists laughter
but no meat for me! 🙂
Hope You All have a blast!!! And I love that header. Is that new? I was asked to paint a butterfly for someone the other day and have been tossing the angle around. That gave me an idea, so thanks!
Cheers! 🙂
Woman, I wish you could! But you’re even further away now! In a great place, no?
Fun!!! I want to go!! 😉
